QATCMA –is the abbreviated form of our association with the full name of “British
Columbia Qualified Acupuncturists and Traditional Chinese Medicine
Practitioners Association”. It was registered under the ‘Society Act‘with the
British Columbia government on September 13, 2000.

About Canadian acupuncturists and TCM Alliance of BC (Alliance)

• The Alliance was registered under the Society Act of the BC government on July 8, 1996, after the amalgamation of five acupuncture associations in British Columbia namely - Acupuncture Association of British Columbia, Canada Acupuncturists Headquarters Association -BC Branch, Canadian Chinese T.C.M. and Acupuncturists Society, Canadian-Korean Acupuncturist Society of B.C. and United Acupuncturists Association of B.C.
  
• The Alliance merged with the QATCMA formally on March 11, 2001 after
  its resolution at the Annual General Meeting on January 28, 2001
